“I left school in 2002 to study hairdressing at Calderdale collage, whilst working as an apprentice at Antony James in Halifax town centre , I continued to work for them once my apprenticeship was completed. When they decided to expand their business to a salon in Hebden Bridge I relocated to their new shop , I worked for Antony James for six years before the Hebden Bridge business was sold, I then stayed on with the new owners and the salon was renamed JKF. That is where I met the wonderful Heather (haha) I was the senior stylist at JKF for several years til Heather set up Northernroots and I decided to grace her with my presence, the rest is history … we like to set up shops in high flood risk areas and spend our time worrying every time it rains (haha)”
